Jerusalem, December 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Last night, settlers cut down about 40 olive trees in the town of Mikhmas, north of occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources told Wafa that a number of settlers stormed the Khallat al-Sidra area in the town and cut down 40 olive trees.
It should be noted that the settlers recently established a colonial outpost near Mikhmas, which is used as a gathering point and planning point for repeated attacks against farmers and their lands, in light of the escalating attacks and systematic targeting of the region.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission’s report for last November, settlers carried out 485 acts of vandalism and theft of Palestinian property, affecting vast areas of land. They also caused – with the help of the occupation army – the uprooting, destruction, and poisoning of 1,986 trees, including 466 olive trees, in the governorates of Nablus (1,260 trees), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (381 trees), Salfit (135 trees), Hebron (100 trees), Qalqilya (70 trees), and Jenin (40 trees) .
