Jerusalem, December 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression against Qalandia camp and Kafr Aqab town, north of occupied Jerusalem, since Tuesday afternoon.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews dealt with three injuries, one from live ammunition in the thigh, one from shrapnel from live ammunition, and one from assault and beating.
For its part, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that at least three citizens were injured by the bullets of the occupation forces, in addition to dozens of cases of suffocation as a result of the firing of toxic tear gas and sound bombs, and the arrest of a number of citizens, during the large raid carried out by the occupation forces in the town of Kafr Aqab and Qalandia camp, which was accompanied by an intensive military deployment and extensive raids on homes and shops .
The governorate stated that the occupation forces arrested citizen Anan Muhammad Taha and his father Muhammad Taha, residents of Qalandia camp, and also detained and assaulted a number of citizens.
In a related development, Israeli occupation forces stormed several residential buildings at the entrance to Qalandiya refugee camp, taking up positions on their rooftops, amid a heavy deployment of soldiers in the surrounding area. They also forced residents, under threat and the use of force, to evacuate three apartments in the Hassan Awad building, located opposite the Grand Mosque of Qalandiya camp .
The occupation forces proceeded to convert one of the evacuated apartments into a military barracks after forcibly evicting its residents, and announced their intention to continue using it until nine o’clock tomorrow morning .
The raid involved forces from the occupation army, police, border guards, tax authority and occupation municipality, accompanied by a large number of bulldozers, cranes and pliers.
The forces also raided dozens of shops, seizing clothes bearing international brands, quantities of eggs and meat on the pretext of lack of licensing, in addition to seizing cartons of cigarettes on the pretext of non-payment of tax, worth tens of thousands of shekels .
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli occupation forces confiscated the contents of a plant nursery opposite the camp, obstructed the work of ambulance crews, and assaulted journalists covering the events. They also documented the direct firing of stun grenades at schoolchildren in the area as they returned from school, in addition to the confiscation of private surveillance cameras .
In a subsequent development, the occupation forces began demolition operations on the main road extending from the Qalandiya military checkpoint to the town of Kafr Aqab, and attacked citizens’ vehicles, destroying some of them and seizing others, amid general fears of the demolition operations spreading and expanding.
The occupation forces also began removing billboards from the middle of the main street and from in front of shops, and proceeded to demolish a bird shop belonging to citizen Iyad Fayaleh, and a monument to the martyr Mahmoud Awad at one of the entrances to the camp.
The occupation forces demolished the monument to the martyr Mahmoud Awad Al-Ahti during the raid that has been ongoing for hours.
Israeli occupation forces closed the Qalandiya military checkpoint, resulting in the detention of hundreds of citizens returning from or heading to the occupied city of Jerusalem.
