Ramallah, November 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa briefed an Italian parliamentary delegation headed by Laura Boldrini, in the presence of the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Lieutenant General Jibril Rajoub, on Thursday at his office in Ramallah, on the latest political and field developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
The Prime Minister pointed to the efforts made to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing the jurisdiction of the State of Palestine in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, under one authority, government, law, and weapon, emphasizing that there is no Palestinian state without the Gaza Strip.
Mustafa said: “We have a reconstruction and recovery plan for the Gaza Strip, and it has an implementation program. It has been adopted by Arab and Islamic countries and is supported by the international community through the New York Declaration. We are working with our sister country Egypt to organize a conference for reconstruction and recovery in Cairo.”
The Prime Minister also reviewed the field developments in the West Bank in light of the continued aggression of the occupation army and settlers, especially the northern West Bank governorates, and most recently the ongoing aggression against the Tubas Governorate, in addition to the Israeli measures and the suspension of the transfer of Palestinian tax revenues for the sixth consecutive month, which affects the government’s ability to fulfill its obligations towards our people and provide them with services.
Mustafa added: “We want a political solution to achieve sustainable peace based on the two-state solution and the establishment of the Palestinian state, and to prevent a recurrence of aggression against our people.”
The Prime Minister appreciated the position of the Italian people in solidarity with our people and their legitimate rights to freedom, independence and self-determination.
For their part, the Italian delegation affirmed their supportive and solidarity stance with our people, based on their belief in international and humanitarian law, their rejection of double standards in international law, and their continued efforts at the international level to support the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights to their independent state, to end their suffering in the Gaza Strip, and to stop the attacks of settlers and the occupation measures in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
