The Israeli occupation army committed, until Monday afternoon, 6 violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon, amid the continued return of the displaced to their villages in the south.
The official Lebanese News Agency reported that “for the second time, an enemy reconnaissance plane dropped a bomb on the works team near the cultural club in the town of Bani Hayyan (Marjeyoun district, Nabatieh governorate), which resulted in one person being injured.”
Earlier on Monday, an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on the Bani Hayyan municipality’s works team, in the presence of the mayor, while working to reopen and pave the road at the entrance to the town, without causing any injuries, according to the agency.
Following that, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that “the Israeli attack on the town of Bani Hayyan resulted in the injury of two people, one of whom was a child,” without further details.
The agency explained that “the Israeli forces kidnapped one of the sons of the town of Wazzani, after the residents advanced to its entrance from the direction of (the town of) Rayhana Bri, and opened fire at them in order to terrorize them.”
Israeli forces also opened fire on Lebanese army personnel stationed in the Al-Mafilha area, west of the town of Mays al-Jabal, without causing any injuries, according to the agency.
In Tyre district in the South Governorate, Israeli drones flew at medium altitude in the skies of the western sector.
Israeli forces also opened fire on residents of the border town of Al-Dhuhaira to intimidate them.
On Sunday, the occupation army opened fire on Lebanese refugees as they were returning to their villages in the south, even though a 60-day deadline for its withdrawal from these villages had expired yesterday morning, according to the ceasefire.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported in a statement on Monday that the death toll from the Israeli attacks on Sunday reached 24, including 6 women, and 134 wounded, including 14 women and 12 children.
In total, the Israeli occupation army committed at least 660 violations of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded.
A ceasefire began on November 27, 2024, ending an exchange of shelling between the Israeli occupation army and Hezbollah that began on October 8, 2023, and turned into a full-scale war on September 23.
