Paris, November 12, 2025 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas and his accompanying delegation visited the “Treasures Rescued from Gaza” exhibition, held in the halls of the Arab World Institute, on the sidelines of his official visit to the French capital, Paris .
His Excellency was received by the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, the President of the Arab World Institute, Jack Lang, the Director General of the Institute, Shawki Abdel Amir, and a crowd of the Institute’s staff and employees.
The President listened to a detailed explanation about the exhibits, which number about 100 artifacts, originating from the Gaza Strip, and covering different historical periods, some of which go back five thousand years .
His Excellency praised the effort made in the exhibition, which confirms the authenticity and deep roots of the Palestinian people in their land, stressing the importance of this work which points to the civilizational role that our people have played throughout history .
The President concluded his visit to the Arab World Institute with a meeting with French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, the Institute’s President Jack Lang, and its Director General Shawki Abdel Amir.
His Excellency left the institute to the sound of applause and chants of freedom for Palestine from some of the institute’s visitors .
The President is accompanied by: PLO Executive Committee member Ziad Abu Amr, Presidential Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs Majdi Al-Khalidi, State of Palestine Ambassador to France Hala Abu Hasira, and Elias Sanbar
