The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said: The occupation bears full responsibility for the clash with our fighters in Rafah who are defending themselves within an area under its control.Al-Qassam added in a tweet on its Telegram channel on Sunday, “Let the enemy know that the principle of surrender and handing oneself over to the enemy does not exist in the dictionary of the Al-Qassam Brigades.”She continued, “We are placing the mediators before their responsibilities, and they must find a solution to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire, and to prevent the enemy from using flimsy pretexts to violate it and exploit this to target innocent civilians in Gaza.”She explained that the process of extracting the bodies took place during the past phase under complex and extremely difficult conditions.Al-Qassam stressed that despite this, it adhered to what was required of it in the agreement, stressing that extracting the remaining bodies requires additional technical teams and equipment.
