Palestinian activist Radwan Abu Muammar, who lost most of his family members in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, said that the next step after the “Gaza Court” should be international action against “Israel.”Abu Muammar explained that he lost most of his family in an Israeli attack on Khan Yunis in December 2023. His only surviving family member is his sister, who currently resides with him in Istanbul. This came in an interview with Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of the final sessions of the symbolic “Gaza Court” in Istanbul, which began on Thursday and is expected to announce its decision tomorrow, Sunday. He noted that he also lost more than 25 relatives, including his 9-year-old nephew, who was visiting Gaza.He added that he buried his family members with his own hands, noting that his story is not an exception, but rather one of hundreds of similar stories in Gaza, where entire families have been lost in the genocidal war in Gaza.He emphasized that the victims in his family are not just numbers, and that he worked to communicate their story to the world through the American company “X”, but it later closed his account. He said, “Sites like Facebook and X do not hear the voice of the Palestinians, but only respond to the narrative of the occupation that occupies our land and kills our people.”Abu Muammar thanked all contributors to the “Gaza Court,” where he testified, explaining that the next step should be action against Israel for its war of extermination in Gaza. The Gaza Tribunal is an independent international initiative founded in London in November 2024 by academics, intellectuals, human rights defenders, and representatives of civil society organizations, due to the “international community’s complete failure to implement international law in the Gaza Strip.”
