Three citizens were injured on Saturday after being attacked by settlers in the village of Deir Nizam, northwest of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, while another was arrested by occupation forces.
Sources told Safa that the settlers attacked the farmers while they were picking olives near the western entrance to the town, assaulting them with the butts of their weapons, injuring three of them and forcing them to leave their lands.
The sources said that the occupation forces stormed the town to provide protection for the settlers, and arrested the young man, Moatasem Abdullah Al-Tamimi (31 years old).
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, its teams have monitored a total of 158 attacks against olive pickers since the beginning of the current season. The occupation army carried out 17 attacks, while settlers carried out 141.
