The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), handed over live Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross in Gaza on Monday morning.A leading source in the Qassam Brigades told Al Jazeera that the Brigades handed over the living Israeli prisoners to the Red Cross in Gaza.He pointed out that the handover of living prisoners will be completed at 10:00 a.m. from the southern Gaza Strip.In turn, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said that the Red Cross received seven of the released Israeli prisoners.A Red Cross spokesman told Al Jazeera that our teams have begun the process of implementing the release of prisoners in Gaza.In preparation for the handover of living prisoners, members of the Qassam Brigades deployed in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.This morning, the Qassam Brigades announced that they had decided, as part of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” prisoner exchange deal, to release 20 living Israeli prisoners.Al-Qassam announced that among the released prisoners are “Bar Avraham Kuperstein, in addition to prisoner Avitar David, Yosef Haim Ohana, as well as Segev Kalfon, Avinatan Or, Elkana Bohbot, and Maxim Herkin.”The list also included Nimrod Cohen, Matan Zenguker, and David Cuneo, along with Eitan Horn, Matan Angrist, Eitan Mor, Gali Berman, and Ziv Berman.Among the names also are: Omri Miran, Alon Ohel, Guy Gilboa-Dallal, Rom Braslavsky, and Ariel Konio.
