Dozens of Moroccans held a rally in Rabat to celebrate the ceasefire agreement reached in the Gaza Strip, praising the victory of the Palestinian resistance.
In response to a call from civil society organizations, including the Action Group for Palestine, participants chanted slogans on Thursday evening praising Palestinian steadfastness and declaring their continued support for the Palestinian cause.
Among the slogans chanted were: “The Palestinian people have triumphed,” “Gaza is a symbol of pride,” and “Long live Palestine.”
On Thursday night, Hamas announced an agreement on the first phase of President Trump’s plan for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange, brokered by mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 8, 2023, leaving 67,194 martyrs and 169,890 wounded, most of them children and women, and causing a famine that has claimed the lives of 460 Palestinians, including 154 children.
