The Moroccan Committee for Supporting the Nation’s Causes organized 105 demonstrations in 56 cities across the kingdom in solidarity with Gaza and in protest against Israel’s attack on the Global Steadfastness Flotilla, which was attempting to break the blockade of the Strip.
Solidarity protests with Gaza took place after Friday prayers in several cities, under the slogan: “No to US President Donald Trump’s conspiratorial plan, and no to the Zionist piracy of the steadfastness flotilla.”
Among the cities that witnessed demonstrations were: Casablanca, El Jadida, Rabat (west), Agadir (south), Berkane, and Oujda (east).
The authority said in a statement that “demonstrators expressed their unconditional solidarity with Gaza in 105 protests across 56 cities across the kingdom on Friday.”
In response to the occupation’s interception of the Steadfastness Flotilla, the participants condemned “the crime of piracy of the Global Steadfastness Flotilla, the attempt to sink some of its ships, and the arrest of its participants,” according to the statement.
They also stressed “the extent of international and regional complicity with the occupation’s schemes and its efforts to silence every free voice supporting Gaza and humanity,” according to the same source.
In condemnation of the “Israeli piracy of the steadfastness flotilla,” the demonstrators chanted slogans such as “Freedom for the steadfastness flotilla” and “No to Zionist piracy of the steadfastness flotilla.”
Demonstrators in various cities also chanted slogans condemning direct US support for Israel in its war of extermination against Gaza and Trump’s plan for the Strip.
