Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called on world leaders to stand with the oppressed Palestinian people.
This came in a speech during the opening session of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, USA.
Erdoğan explained that he was speaking from the UN podium on behalf of the Turkish and Palestinian people, whose voices are being silenced. He expressed his gratitude to all countries that have announced their intention to recognize the State of Palestine and called on countries that have not yet made this decision to act as soon as possible.
Erdoğan expressed his hope that the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly would be beneficial to all of humanity, expressing his pleasure at addressing the gathering once again from this platform, which represents the shared conscience of humanity.
