The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said that the Israeli occupation committed heinous massacres against our people in Gaza City, using a scorched earth policy and fire belts targeting residential areas and shelters.
The Front added, in a press statement received by Safa News Agency on Tuesday, that these massacres resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of people, most of them children and women, while many others remain missing under the rubble.
She pointed out that these horrific crimes, which the occupation’s Minister of Defense, Yisrael Katz, brazenly boasts about when he declares that “Gaza is burning,” embody the policy of genocide that the occupation has been practicing against our people for decades, and are a clear expression of the agenda of these criminal murderers who thirst for the blood of children and innocents.
She explained that the criminal US administration insists on continuing to provide the Israeli war machine with political cover, military support, and funding, thus bearing direct responsibility for the crimes committed against our people.
She continued, “What is happening today is a systematic and fully-fledged war crime, and requires immediate and decisive action from the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to stop this ongoing holocaust and impose political and diplomatic isolation on the criminal entity.”
The Front called on the Arab masses, the free people of the world, and liberation forces to escalate all forms of solidarity and political and field pressure to isolate the enemy and hold it accountable.
She emphasized that the practical response to this ongoing holocaust is to confront it intensively, taking to the streets and squares, expanding the international campaign against the occupying state, devising escalating and practical methods to pressure the Israeli entity to halt the ongoing massacre, and exposing the supporters and financiers of the war machine and the genocidal regime.
She stressed that the escalation of massacres in the Gaza Strip, particularly in Gaza City, will not break the will of our people; rather, it will only strengthen their resolve to uphold their right to remain on their land, defend their existence and national dignity, and thwart displacement and uprooting projects.
