A responsible source in the Palestinian factions confirmed on Saturday that neither Hamas nor the factions had received any new proposals during the Cairo meetings.
The source told Palestine Today that the Palestinian factions assured their Egyptian counterparts of their openness to any initiatives to end the war.
He added that mediators are continuing their efforts despite the absence of new proposals.
The source indicated that the Hamas delegation and the factions are awaiting practical initiatives to stop the war.
He stressed that the factions are positive about any Egyptian efforts to achieve calm.
The source continued, “Hamas and the factions informed Egypt of their willingness to engage with any ceasefire proposals.”
He noted that the mediators are continuing their efforts despite the lack of new proposals on the negotiating table.
