The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday the arrival in the Kingdom of 45 individuals from 10 countries who were detained by Israel aboard the Freedom Flotilla ships while sailing towards the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip.The ministry said in a statement: “Forty-five individuals from a number of brotherly and friendly countries who were aboard the Freedom Flotilla arrived in the Kingdom via the King Hussein Bridge with the occupied West Bank.”She explained that the evacuation included citizens of Tunisia, Spain, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Finland, the United States, and Canada.Days ago, Israel unlawfully arrested 145 civil activists of various nationalities in international waters off the coast of Gaza, as they were on their way to break its blockade of the Palestinian enclave.The Jordanian Foreign Ministry stated that “coordination has been made with the embassies of sister and friendly countries to organize and facilitate the departure of their citizens from the Kingdom.”On Saturday, the International Committee to Break the Siege on the Gaza Strip announced that the Freedom Flotilla activists detained in Israel will arrive in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Sunday morning.She announced on her Facebook page that their travel arrangements to their home countries would be completed within the next two days.In turn, the Maghreb Steadfastness Flotilla, which aims to break the siege on Gaza, announced on Facebook that 98 activists from the Freedom Flotilla had been deported.He stated that “47 people are still being held in occupation prisons, including Tunisian Ali Kniss, for refusing to sign the ‘request for immediate departure.'””This refusal allows the occupation to detain them for 72 hours, ending on Sunday,” according to the Steadfastness Fleet.
