
The Tulkarm Media Committee said that the number of people displaced from the Nur Shams and Tulkarm camps due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the city and its two camps has exceeded 24,000, with more homes and neighborhoods in the two camps being evacuated. The displaced remain in shelters and towns throughout the city.
The committee indicated that the occupation forces are continuing to evacuate residents from Tulkarm camp, and have forced residents of the Al-Murabba’a neighborhood to evacuate their homes at gunpoint.
She reported that the forces stormed the Abu al-Foul and Qaqun neighborhoods, broke down the doors of homes, wreaked havoc, and turned them into military barracks.
Early Saturday morning, explosions rocked the area surrounding the woods in Nour Shams camp, coinciding with a heavy deployment of Israeli occupation forces. Smoke could be seen rising from the area, shattering vehicle and home windows.
While the occupation forces opened fire on an ambulance while it was evacuating a patient from the camp.
Forces blew up one of the gates of Al-Nasr Mosque in Nour Shams camp, conducted searches in the Al-Mahjar neighborhood amid heavy gunfire, and set fire to the home of Yasser Muqbil in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood.
According to the committee, occupation soldiers abused a number of citizens during a raid on homes in the Muqata’a neighborhood of Tulkarm refugee camp, severely beating a man and his son, detaining them for more than 12 hours before releasing them.
The occupation forces dispatched military reinforcements toward the city and its two camps, and reinforced their heavy machinery and bulldozers in front of buildings they had seized on Nablus Street, turning them into military barracks, and around the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. They also set up mobile checkpoints to restrict the movement of civilians.
The Media Committee reported that the ongoing aggression on the city and camps resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant, in addition to the injury and arrest of dozens.
