Resistance operations continued in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem during the past month of April, where the total number of operations monitored, according to the Palestine Information Center “Moati”, reached (362) qualitative and popular resistance operations, which resulted in the injury of (7) Israelis with various injuries.
The resistance operations included (11) shooting operations and armed clashes, and the confrontations and armed clashes in the West Bank and Jerusalem resulted in the martyrdom of (18) Palestinians by the fire of the occupation and its settlers.
On April 14, a resistance fighter carried out a run-over operation between Adh Dhahiriya and As Samou, south of Hebron, which resulted in the injury of a female soldier from the occupation army.
The two young men, Muhammad Omar Zakarneh (23 years old) and Marouh Khazimiya (19 years old), were killed hours after an armed clash with the occupation forces inside a cave in a rugged area south of the city of Jenin, after a chase that lasted nearly four months.
An Israeli special force deployed around the mountainous area between Qabatiya and Misiliya, south of Jenin, with aircraft flying overhead. This was followed by an armed clash between the resistance fighters and occupation soldiers, with shoulder-fired missiles being fired at the cave where the fighters had taken refuge.
Muhammad Zakarneh was known as one of the perpetrators of the shooting attack in the town of Al-Funduq, south of Qalqilya, on January 6th, which led to the killing of 3 settlers and the wounding of 7 others, including serious injuries.
On April 30th, (3) occupation soldiers were injured by the explosion of a homemade bomb during clashes in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
The Ma’ti Center also monitored an attempted stabbing attack, 24 operations to plant or throw explosive devices, and the damage to an occupation military vehicle.
On the level of the popular movement, the anti-occupation activities continued, and the number of stone-throwing operations and direct confrontations with the occupation forces reached (259) confrontations and stone-throwing, (16) demonstrations, (6) Molotov cocktail-throwing operations, (8) damage to settlers’ vehicles, and (35) operations to confront settlers’ attacks in various parts of the West Bank.
