The two martyrs who died in an armed conflict with Israeli occupation forces in Tulkarem, in the northern occupied West Bank, today were stated to be members of the Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the movement’s military wing, by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on Saturday.

Hamas expressed its sorrow over the deaths of Samer Salah Al Shafei and Hamza Jamil Khreyoush, both 22 years old, in a statement that Safa News Agency received.

She said, “We salute the heroes of the resistance who were able to discover the matter of the Zionist special force, and they fought with it in a fierce clash and inflicted certain casualties on its ranks.”

According to Hamas, “the blood of the martyrs that was spilled on the soil of Tulkarm today will be the fuel of a revolution in the face of the usurper occupier.”

She also emphasized the need for “continued vigilance and mobilization, and the mobilization of all popular and field energies to repel the aggression and defend our people and our sanctities” due to the “escalation of the occupation’s crimes, the continuous bleeding of Palestinian blood, and the imminent danger to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

This morning in Tulkarm, two young men were killed and one was injured by the occupation troops’ gunfire.

Local sources claimed that after special troops infiltrated the city of Tulkarm and its camp, the occupation forces stormed the area.

She emphasized the fact that the occupation forces and the resistance fighters engaged in bloody armed combat.

She emphasized that ambulances were unable to reach the victims for a while due to the occupation forces.

According to the sources, at least one Israeli soldier was hurt during the conflict by the resistance fighters after one of them was overheard screaming and crying out.
