The text of the will is published by Safa precisely as it was received from the Prisoners’ Information Office:

We have the right to make a will as the soul approaches martyrdom.

In the name of the most merciful, most kind God

“Those who believe shall not fear nor be in sorrow.” And God won’t give the unbelievers any advantage over the believers, it says. “It is right for us to support the believers.”

Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, for allowing me to participate in a hunger strike in order to gain my freedom. Praise God for His innumerable gifts, and may God grant him and his family the blessings of His prayers and serenity as well as the master of creation, the beloved of the truth, our master Muhammad.

I am writing you these words from my incarceration in the beloved, genuine Palestinian city of Ramla, where my fat, flesh, bones, and strength have all turned to necrosis. It is my intention to my folks, my spouse, my children, and my family.

My wife, I command you and my children to fear the Almighty, cling to His firm rope, dispense with His bounty from others, speak the truth at all times, establish kinship ties, pray, give alms, preserve God’s sanctities and His right in our circumstance, our money, our movement, and our residence, and to recognize that the best homes in Palestine are the homes of the martyrs, the prisoners, the wounded, and the righteous.

Uncles, aunts, family members, neighbors, and anyone else who has authority over us are advised not to cede any moral or material dominion over me since your love is most in need of His kindness. If this is my witness, do as I say Not allow the occupier to dissect my body and imprison me close to my father. Write on my grave here, the poor Abdullah Khader Adnan, your prayers for him And to his parents and Muslims with mercy, and make it a simple grave.

Maali, Bisan, Abd al-Rahman, Muhammad, Ali, Hamza, Maryam, Omar, and Zainab are among Umm Abd al-Rahman’s children. As I leave this worldly life, please pardon me, my brothers Abu Adnan, Abu Anas, and Umm Nour, as well as all the uncles, aunts, relatives, friends, and neighbors. However, please make sure that I have not been diverted from my duty to you, God willing.

With greetings and love, I send this commandment to you, O our fatherly people, and I place my faith in the Almighty’s mercy, as well as in His power, triumph, and empowerment. Enabling is also getting closer.

My best wishes go out to our masters, the loved ones of the martyrs and the captives, as well as to all the liberated people and revolutionaries.

Your devoted spouse Umm Abd al-Rahman, devoted father of my children, devoted brother of my brothers, and devoted son of our nation.

I beseech God to accept me as a devoted martyr before His glorious face.

Khader Adnan, your love – Ramla Hospital
