The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said that more than 2.1 million Palestinians are trapped in Gaza, exposed to (Israeli) bombardment, and suffering from starvation.
Lazzarini explained on Tuesday that “no aid has entered Gaza for six weeks due to the ongoing Israeli blockade,” noting that “the stocks that entered during the ceasefire are now depleted and we are once again facing the possibility of famine in Gaza.”
